To be VERY clear: I NEVER hired Armando, NEVER signed a contract with him, and NEVER became his customer. I was considering using him for hurricane-related repairs after Hurricane Milton, but after dealing with him during the planning and estimating process, I made the decision NOT to move forward with him. And I'm glad I didn't. My experience was endless promises with very little follow-through. Communication was slow, timelines kept dragging out, and I wasted a tremendous amount of time discussing the project and waiting for information. Eventually, communication essentially disappeared. That experience alone was enough for me to decide I did not trust him with my property or my money. Now, long after I decided not to hire him, he is publicly portraying the situation as though I was some difficult customer or that he somehow walked away from my project. There was no project. There was no contract. I chose not to hire him. What makes this even worse, in my opinion, is seeing him publicly posting pieces of private conversations and attacking my character while trying to win someone else's business. A screenshot without the entire history and context doesn't tell the whole story. If this is how someone reacts when a potential customer simply decides not to hire them, imagine dealing with a serious disagreement after you've signed a contract and handed over thousands of dollars. Contractors don't have to accept every customer, and customers certainly don't have to hire every contractor. That's business. Turning it into a public personal attack afterward tells me everything I need to know. Aegis Construction custom built my home saving me literally millions that I would have spent had i used John Cannon, Lee Wetherington, or some of the other expensive home builders. Aegis literally custom built me a houses that would compete and that's just as extraordinary as all of the big name construction companies here on the southern west coast of Florida.. We had someone lined up to put up plywood but he was unable to find plywood as it was sold out everywhere. I called Aegis Monday morning (hurricane hit Wed night) and they had us all secured by early Tuesday morning. Friday they promptly removed all the plywood and inspected the exterior and sent pictures for our reassurance. Aegis provided excellent communication and expedient work at a reasonable price during a natural disaster giving us peace of mind! Thank you Aegis, especially Tela and crew!!!
